I’ve often thought of myself as a sort of walking discrepancy. I think that it’d be just a little too much of a delusion of grandeur to try to go the yin yang route. But paradoxical and hypocritical seem to fit the bill pretty accurately. I mean, I like something but hate it too. And it’s not wholly out of character for me to say one thing and do another.
I’m assuming that this can be irritating to those around me; fortunately most of my friends are hopped up on enough adderrol that leads them to sufficiently recognize their own shortcomings so as not to focus on mine (although the 40 mg of adderrol has got their focus razor sharp if they wanted to). With this in mind, I’d like to consider yet another discrepancy.
I love laziness. I mean I really embrace it, in fact with such zeal that it borders on not being lazy at all. But, I’ll tell you what, if I am not facing some type of challenge that requires great amounts of energy and effort in order to succeed in order to get that feeling of finality and completion, I just want to fling myself off a bridge due to boredom.
As with most paradoxes where both contradcting forces need to be satisfied, a dilemma is unavoidable here. But, also like most dilemmas, an solution is possible. I need to be lazy, so I can work from home (this isn’t to disparage others that work at home with good reason, I simply have no other reason than laziness). But, the ever changing world of computers will offer me the complexity and difficulty I need to satiate my need to assuage boredom with challenging projects.
As you know with computers there’s great demand for those with the skills to trouble shoot, repair, program, maintain and all other seemingly infinite facets of the field that leaves the average person clueless. These are all jobs that can be done with a computer home based job. Its just that easy and thank god challenging at the same time. I work at home, easy. I work with computers, challenging. I’ve got a computer home based job and every one of my naturally based, impossible to satisfy personal discrepancies satisfied.

I doubt that over 5% of the people are making any money using those ways of making money on the internet and they can be time consuming and expensive in some cases.
I use surveys while I am learning other ways to make money on the internet. I think this is the best way, because building a business in some of these other areas can take a while to get going. Is it easy, yes its easy, but you will need to work. I haven't found anything worth doing that didn't take some type of effort. There will be days you don't feel like doing anything, you will need to force yourself to get going on those days. You won't have anyone to make you do something, so if it needs to be done you will have to do your own self motivating. This is probably the hardest thing you will have trouble with being in business for yourself.
If you are tired of a dead end job you owe it to yourself to at least look into this golden opportunity. More people are leaving the work place for work at home jobs, so get started now before everybody finds out how easy it is. Surveys just might be the perfect job for you.

I have to admit, I am not a Monday person and in the early days I found it very hard to actually do any work on this particular day. Working on my own and not having anyone to answer to made it very easy for me to just go back to bed for example. This of course did not help my business and was something I had to get out of doing.
The first tip therefore, is that you need to have self-discipline to make your home based business work. Each week set yourself business goals of what you want to achieve. Treat working from home like you are working in an office, do not be tempted by watching the television or by any other distraction. You have to ensure you put in the required hours to make the business the success you want it to be.
The second bit of advice is to be careful what you eat. I fell into a trap of eating a lot of snack type foods, and did not ever feel that I had the time to cook myself a meal for lunch. I soon started to put on weight and this caused me to lose some of my self-confidence. I needed all of my self-confidence to keep up my belief that I could succeed at working from home. I now make sure that I give myself an hour break for lunch and to re-charge my batteries. I am also careful not to snack in between meals.
Thirdly you are likely to experience good months and bad months, financially. It is important therefore that you start saving so that when you are having a bad period, you have the cashflow to keep the business going. Also keep some money aside to pay the taxman. When I first became self-employed I loved the fact that I did not need to pay tax each month. When I received my yearly tax bill it was quite a shock however and I have since started to put an amount aside each month to cover it.
Most businesses have these peaks and troughs. When business is not going so well, it is very easy to become downhearted and even depressed. I found this working by myself, I had nobody to pick me up from these lows. I have since realised that feeling sorry for myself is not going to help the situation, therefore I have to work even harder during these periods and that I have to keep thinking positive.

A closer look at work from home
There is no denying in the tremendous increase in the number of online businesses in the past 10 years, not only in the USA, but just about any place where computers can be accessed easily. As we all know that, among many online businesses run by good and honest people, there are some online businesses run by bad and unscrupulous people whose primary objective is to con money out of unsuspecting naive people who are desperately looking online for jobs due to their circumstances such as being a stay-home-parent with kids, wheelchair bound, or whatever their unique circumstances could be that made them think that online jobs made more sense.

A Home Business Should Be A Family Affair
Does your family participate or do you work alone?
I've heard tales, and for a short while lived them, about how a spouse will eagerly start a home based business of one sort or another and before they can even get their feet wet in the business - -The other spouse starts belittling and generally putting a damper on the once enthusiastic entrepreneur's ambitions.

Anyway, it's been over 2 years since all that mess transpired, and I've seen and heard just about every story imaginable on the subject of home business start-ups/failures. I've also learned that most spouses, family members and 'friends' react in such damaging ways out of either fear or ignorance. I suppose some are just plain mean, but well
For lucky business builders who have encouraging families, the work at home life is good, very good. My wife is my part-time Assistant, and her small salary is tax deductible too, so there's another plus in starting a business.
Creating a better future for the family is probably the most recurring 'Why' that I hear from new business owners. With such a strong reason driving the decision to work from home, then why shouldn't the entire family be involved? It's for them after all.
Find a way that even the littlest member can take part in the family business. Remember too that helping with chores, running errands, baby-sitting for younger sibs, taking turns with dinner etc. are all just as important as being able to do home office work, if not 'more' important in the long run.
If you're currently suffering with a spouse or partner who just doesn't 'get' what you're doing - please don't give up. Keep on building and trying and help them 'get' it through concrete results. Usually, with some home businesses, positive results that a 'non-biz' type can wrap their minds around, does take time. Looking for a way to earn extra income and you like to work with plants?
Pay close attention to how I went out and found new business at a time of the year when things are normally slow, and not only did I make $1,148.00, my friend Franky also made $1,060.00.
Because I chose to keep myself out of the rat race of landscaping new homes, I went after a market that was more of an impulsive type market. New home landscaping is almost a necessity, since new homes don’t have any shrubs or grass. Not only that, many housing developments actually require people to have their landscaping done within a certain number of months from the time they move into their new homes. Therefore, when the house is done, people are anxious to get it landscaped.
Since I wasn’t in that market, and most impulsive gardening decisions are made in the spring, my business typically slowed down during the very hot summer months. So one year I decided to do a little test marketing, to see if I could muster up some work during the summer.
I decided to do a test mailing to 350 homeowners in an area where I knew the people could afford landscaping services, but were not extremely rich. I mailed a letter to these 350 homes, and the letter basically said I could help them with any landscaping project that needed done, and because my business was slow during the summer I could give them a really fair price.
Of the 350 people that received the letter 3 called me. I immediately sold two jobs, and the third job was still open for discussion. On one of the first two jobs I made about $350. and on the other I made about $700. That’s net profit. That’s how much I got to keep. Since the mailing cost less than $175., my immediate profit on the mailing was $875. Not bad at all considering this was only a part-time business for me. But don’t forget about that third caller. I had not even met this person yet.
The reason he called is because he happened to own a 60 unit apartment building in the Cleveland area, and he needed some trees or shrubs planted around the parking lot. The architect that he had been working with suggested Taxus Hicksi, which is an evergreen that is easily trimmed and maintained to a certain size. However, all the landscapers he had spoken with in Cleveland wanted about $44.00 each to install these plants. Although a fair price, that amounted to $4,664.00 because he needed 106 plants.
He contacted me because he was hoping I could find a less expensive plant to use. After visiting the job site I realized that Taxus Hicksi actually was about the best choice for this situation, so I told him I would see if I could get a better price on the plants. I showed in a wholesale catalog that the wholesale price was $22.00 per plant, but mentioned that I might be able to find another source.
I knew that my friend Franky did at one time grow this particular plant, so I gave him a call. Turns out he did have 106 plants available, and was anxious to move some of them, he quoted me $10.00 each, balled in burlap. I called my customer and told him that I found good plants at a lower price, and that I could actually deliver and plant them for $22.00 per plant, which is exactly half of what others had quoted him. He was delighted, and I did the job. As a matter of fact he actually asked me to install some additional plants while I was there.
I hired 3 guys to help me do the job, and we had it done in one day. After I paid for the plants, and paid my help, I actually made $1,148.00 on that one day job. My customer was so happy with the work we did that he asked me to come back the following week and do about another $700.00 worth of work. I made another $350.00 The following spring he hired me to re-landscape an older home that he had purchased, and I made another $600.00.
