Top 6 Free Work At Home Job Sites

New Year is quickly coming upon us, it’s time to start thinking about what you would like to achieve. People make a lot of resolutions, going on diets, saving more money, getting out of debt, etc. But one resolution that stands the test of time is the one of career advancement. Everyone always wants to advance in their current job or find a better paying one. So we’ve decided to help you get 2008 started right by providing you some great work at home job resources to achieve your goal of working at home in 2008.
I’ve been in the work at home field since I was in college and I’m 30 something now. So I’ve seen a lot in terms of the work at home world. I basically got started in this industry because I was scammed. My site
WorkAtHomeCareers.com has been cited numerous times as a resource to help people avoid scams by many major publications. No I’m not tooting my own horn. I just want you to be aware of my experience and why it gives me some insight as to what makes a great work at home resource versuses a some web page thrown up to push clickbank products. (No offense to those websites.). Too often people assume that the websites in the top of the search engine results are the best. This is true for certain industries but not all. Search engines can get it really right or really wrong depending how their algorithms are working that given day, week or month.
As a result of this I’ve come up with some basic standards of what makes up a top notch work at home job site. They are as follows:
> Does said work at home website provide legitimate work from home job leads?
> Is said work at home website updated with new jobs regularly (Meaning daily or weekly)?
> Does said work at home website research the job leads to the best of their ability?
> Is said work at home website membership free?
> Is said work at home website totally free to the work at home seekers?
So based on these standards, I have come up with a list of work at home websites that I think fits many or all of the characteristics listed above. Again this is my opinion. If you don’t like it, tough luck! No just kidding. I’d be very interested in hearing your opinion so include your comments below this post.

And with no further delay here is my list of the Top 5 Free Work At Home Job Sites for 2007 in no particular order:
1.
RatRaceRebellion.com
2. MoneyMakingMommy.com
3. 2Work-At-Home.com
4. WorkAtHomeCareers.com
5. Wahm.com
6. Onlinedatajobs
So that’s my list. All of these website do a great job of keeping their jobs updated and researched. They also manage to be profitable by balancing their ads with the jobs which is what keeps these sites free to work at home seekers. And more importantly you don’t have to jump through hoops to access their free work from home job resources. I’ve seen some other sites that had real potential but then they force you to sign up for a membership or pay a fee. I understand the logic behind it but based on the standards I set up for this list, they didn’t make the cut because of it. The sites listed above are well known in their industry so you won’t read a lot of complaints about these sites being a scam, rip off or fraud.

Work At Home With Google.com (No Fees)

Google is pretty much known as the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to search and a number of other services. Like many of you, I love their search engine because it usually gives me exactly what I’m looking for. However did you know that Google also provides people various ways to work at home? By now, many of my loyal subscribers know that I work at home full-time as an affiliate for Google and many other companies. If you’ve read my article about this wonderful career you’re aware that it’s one of the most available work at home careers because nearly every company has an affiliate program that you can join for free.
Well my friends, Google is no exception. Google has an affiliate program known as Adsense where they pay bloggers like myself to display ads on our sites related to the helpful content that we write. Every time someone happens to click on one of these ads, we get paid a set amount. Now for the most part I have a great relationship with Google. I literally earn thousands of dollars per month as an affiliate for them and a number of other companies. With that said, I don’t always like the ads that Google displays on my sites. It’s one of the reasons why I’m so vigilant about encouraging you to do your research on our scam page for anything that requires a fee. The techniques described there usually help many of you avoid the bad ads that may slip past Google’s watchful eye, which brings me to the Google work from home opportunity that you’re desperately seeking.
So How Can You Work At Home For Google?
Ads! No I’m not talking about becoming an Adsense affiliate and running your own site. I know for most of you that’s already out of the question. But did you know that some of the ads that go through Google are are actually reviewed by a real person? Well yes they are and you can get paid to become one of those reviewers. There are actually known as Ad Quality Raters.
What is A Google Ad Quality Rater?
Well here’s the work at home job description straight from
Google’s mouth:

Warning About Google Work At Home Products, Systems, etc….
Let me do you a favor by telling you to avoid any Google Work At Home product, system, DVD or ebook you may come across. Unless it’s making it clear from jump, that it will be teaching you about affiliate marketing or using Adwords. At the end of the day most of these so called Google work at home opportunities are misrepresenting Google and the affiliate marketing industry to get your money. They’ll lure you in by telling you that you’ll get paid just for typing ads and filling out forms for thousands of companies. That’s B.S. It’s not that simple and involves a lot more than they’re leading on. The problem is when they get your money that’s when they reveal the truth if at all. You end up being a victim that thinks that Google is endorsing these companies, when they’re not. If you want to learn about affiliate marketing and how that ties into Google’s search engine, I would highly recommend you read my affiliate marketing article by clicking here.

I’ll say this again, Google will never charge you to work for them. You should be skeptical of company charging you for any so called Google work at home product, system, etc. I don’t care what the company’s name or URL is. It’s pretty much all the same. You can see a clear example of this with my Google Money Tree scam article.
In any event, i hope I’ve provided you a clearer picture of the real opportunities available from Google

By the way another great mega company to work at home for is Amazon.com. You can check out their work at home opportunity.

About Medical Transcriptionist (Typist)?

1. Yes there are many available Medical Transcription work at home careers available but most want at least a year or more experience. So how can I get a job if no one will hire me without experience? That’s a great question and valid concern. I was able to find a training company that provides you all the necessary Medical Transcription training you need and provides job placement services to successful graduates. Apparently the Virtual Learning Center has relationships with certain Medical Transcription companies that are willing to hire their successful graduates without experience! So there you have it, you will have access to companies that will hire you just for being a successful graduate of the Virtual Learning Center. Their job placement center also provides assistance in terms of your resume and revealing to you how to start your own business if that’s something of interest to you. So they really go beyond what many of the distance learning companies provide.

2. I just don’t have the money it takes to invest in myself and medical transcription training. What can I do? This question really hits home because I’ve been in the same situation. Unlike college where I was able to get financial aid, many of these home based training programs don’t provide this. But to my surprise the Virtual Learning Center addresses this and provides its students financial aid & flexible payment arrangements so that whatever your budget is, they will help you get the training you need to start your work at home career as a medical transcriptionist. It’s obvious that they understand the plight of the work at home seeker and are not just some company that’s about making money. You can also go to your local community colleges to see if they offer any medical transcription courses and financial aid. Chances are if you can’t afford to buy the training on your own, you’ll qualify for financial aid.

3. I have years of experience with typing and data entry, why do i need to invest in medical transcription training? Well with all due respect, your years of generic typing and data entry skills aren’t a commodity in this job market anymore. Why? Please consider the fact that everyone uses a computer now, this means that they can probably type just as well as you. 10-30 years ago typist were an asset because it was just the opposite. Most people didn’t have computers nor the need to type. So when typing needed to be done, companies scrambled to get a highly skilled typist like yourself because it was such a specialized skill. So that’s the reality of your skill set. But with that said medical transcription is still a specialized skill so there is still a great demand for those professionals. I may know how to type well but I definitely don’t have the skills involved in medical typing. So that’s why we encourage people like yourself to get specialized in Medical Transcription. Your years of generic typing skills coupled with your newly acquired Medical transcription skills will truly make you an asset to a company.

What Are You Going To Do Now?
In any event, I hope this addresses the questions, objections and concerns that many of you have expressed or were quietly thinking. I really hope that I have brought home the point that chasing after fantasy generic typing and data entry jobs is illogical when you understand the reality of our computerized world and the fact that now nearly everyone can type pretty well. So with that said, if you’re dead set on doing nothing more than typing, then now you know how to achieve this. But don’t make the mistake of continuing to spend hours and hours searching job boards for generic typing jobs. This will lead to a number of things; frustration, desperation and possibly being scammed or mislead by info products. So save yourself the trouble and go after something that is actually available. Now if for some reason despite all the options I’ve provided to you, you’ve decided that you’re not going to pursue a career in medical transcription, than you may want to look in to a non traditional way of typing at home.

Please note that this work at home opportunity isn’t a traditional typing at home job. Furthermore, it won’t make you anywhere near the salary that Medical Transcription can provide. But it will make you some money and can be started now and with no specialized training. But don’t expect to support your family with it. So you’ve been forewarned. Check out a non traditional way to make money typing at home by clicking here. Good luck either way!
